Responsibilities

Contract Details

BIA Administrative & Outreach Coordinator

We are seeking a BIA Administrative & Outreach Coordinator to support Little Portugal Toronto’s operations, member engagement, and festival-related initiatives throughout the year. This role will work closely with BIA staff on coordination, outreach, communications, event support, and administrative tasks.

A key focus of the position will be member support and survey coordination during Do West Fest, along with ongoing administrative and community engagement work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist BIA staff with coordination, outreach, and production tasks
  • Coordinate survey collection and feedback initiatives during and after Do West Fest
  • Assist with festival planning, execution, and wrap-up
  • Provide administrative support and documentation
  • Support community partnerships and event coordination
  • Assist with communications and member engagement initiatives

Contract Details

Compensation: $25,000.00

Contract Period:

  • April – October

Community Stage & Backline Handler

Do West Fest is seeking a reliable and organized Staging Advancement & Coordination Lead for our upcoming festival. This role is responsible for pick up and drop off of backline for all mainstages and stage management for the Do West Fest Community Stage, ensuring smooth operations across all three festival stages.

Responsibilities

  • Advance and act as the main contact for acts performing on the Community Stage
  • Coordinate pick-up and drop-off of backline equipment for all main stages
  • Serve as Stage Manager for the Community Stage during the festival
  • Arrange van rental for transporting backline equipment
  • Be available during festival hours to replace or troubleshoot backline equipment as needed with assistance

Contract Details

Compensation $2,000.00

Ideal Candidate

  • Someone trustworthy, organized, and comfortable working in a live festival environment.
  • Experience with stage management, backline coordination, or live event production.
  • Knowledge of the local music scene is seen as an asset.

Festival Assistant

Do West Fest is seeking a Festival Assistant to support lead festival staff with coordination, outreach, and production in preparation for, during and after Do West Fest. This role will work closely with BIA staff alongside the festival production team and play an important part in managing merchandise, donation and a variety of other festival initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist BIA staff with festival coordination and production tasks
  • Manage festival merchandise and donation programs
  • Support general festival logistics and preparation carried out by festival’s Managing Director and Communication Coordinator
  • Assist staff during peak production periods and on-site operations

Contract Details

Compensation: $6,000.00

Rough Schedule

This position runs April 13 – June 22, with some flexibility
