La Fefa Cox's Mural at I.C. Savings

Estefanía Cox, better known as Fefa Cox, is a Peruvian multidisciplinary artist. Her passion for painting murals, illustration, and music made her able to express herself and share her art in diverse media, including acrylic paint, watercolors, oils, and graphite.

After being a crucial part of the production team and assistant to Hana Lucatelli's "Conceição" mural; Fefa takes on the task of creating a brand new mural dedicate to her great-grandmother right at the doorsteps of I.C. Savings

In her own words:

"This mural is inspired by the pre- Columbian worldview and the interconnected cycle of creation. It explores the three realms of existence—sky, earth, and the underworld—represented through the symbolic figures of the bird, the jaguar, and the serpent, united into a single creature. At its center, my great-grandmother embodies ancestry, lineage, and the continuity of life. The presence of day and night reflects the duality of time and the human experience, while the composition celebrates our connection to nature, our ancestors, and the profound mystery of creation itself"

The Little Portugal BIA and the Open Air Museum welcomes Fefa Cox and her incredible artwork as a vibrant new addition for our neighborhood and community memembersber to enjoy.
